Hello!

I am Johanna Shaw, an artist from Austria currently living in the south of Spain with my family (including a lot of animals).

​

After finishing my "Design and product management" studies in 2008 I worked mainly in the marketing sector. After a while I turned my focus on graphic design, creating logos, advertising material and more. Having changed to a more "creative" way of working I still felt like there is something missing and decided to follow my dreams and began working as a freelance illustrator. During the last years I have enjoyed myself immensely creating colorful and happy pieces of art, with the emphasis on children´s illustrations. I tend to draw cute, happy and magical things, mainly animals, but do like to explore other areas as well.

In my spare time I love to go out into nature, enjoy walks on the beach and forests, accompanied by my family and dogs. I love to ride my beautiful horse, do yoga and go for runs to clear my mind. Photography also plays a big part in my life, which I have done at some point professionally as well, but have now put aside as just a hobby to have enough time to focus on my illustrating. Besides that I also enjoy gardening, reading a good book and traveling.
